Hi! My name is Anneli Bray and I am a freelance children’s illustrator and collage artist.

As a children’s illustrator I am influenced by my own childhood memories of growing up on the north Lancashire coast and now as a mum to one very curious toddler I am reminded that even the most everyday things (Look Mummy! A stick! A cloud! A rock!) can be made magical with a good dose of childlike curiosity.

Whilst most of my work is in children’s publishing, I am also a keen location drawer and collage artist. I feel hugely inspired by the natural world mostly focusing on the birds, animals and landscapes I’m surrounded by here, with Morecambe Bay 5 minutes away and the Lake District right on our doorstep.
